Norm McKenzie: Owner, Instructor and Competitve 
                              Team Coach

  • Born and raised in Northern California  
  • Started gymnastics at age 13
  • Gymnastics competitor in High School and College 
  • Trained and competed tumbling and trampoline under George Hery, former World Champion  
  • Started teaching professionally in the mid 1970's
  • 1979 qualifed to be an Elite Coach  
  • 1980 had a student that competed in the 1980 Olympic Trials
  • 1981 moved to Tennessee
  • 1982 had Class 2 State Champion Team
  • 1983-85 various State Champions
  • 1985 moved to Houston, Texas and coached for Bela Karolyi and had numerous State and Regional Champions
  • 1986 moved to Columbia, TN and started Discovery Gymnastics
  • 1991-92 Level 9, Child Division, All-Around National Champion
  • 1992 - present:  Many State and Regional Champions
